A pattern of a moderate volume fully lined jacket. The jacket is slightly tapered towards the bottom and has the turn-down collar with a one-piece stand. The garment has two-piece raglan sleeves. The fastening is central with buttons. The length of the jacket is slightly below the hip line.

The jacket can be made in one of two versions.

Option 1: with welt pockets on the fronts and with a tab along the bottom of the sleeve, fixed with a button. The Instructions describe the technology of preparing welts and tabs without visible seams. The pattern also contains patterns for a classic welt and tab.

Option 2: with patch pockets on the fronts, cuffs and a sewn-on waistband.

For sewing this model, it is recommended to choose materials from the coat or rain-coat group. According to the fiber composition, the material can contain natural (wool, cashmere, cotton) or mixed fibers. Jacket wool, loden, cotton gabardine, quilted insulation, eco-fur are good choices. Materials containing viscose are recommended for the lining.

The jacket in the photo by Elenapatternstudio is made of coat fabric with a directional short pile, composition: 80% wool, 20% acrylic; fabric weight 610 g/m2. Lining – 100% viscose.

For Option 2 It is recommended to choose a material of slightly lower weight (up to 500 g/m2).

  • Stitched straight-grain fusible stay tape, width of 15 mm ~ 3 m
  • Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement, width 15 mm ~ 5 m
  • Raglan shoulder pads (if you want to accentuate your shoulders)
  • Buttons with a diameter of 25 mm – 6 pcs. (+2-3 spare)
  • Transparent buttons (sub-buttons), diameter 10-12 mm – 6 pcs. (+2-3 spare)
  • Threads to match the main fabric – 2 spools, reinforced threads recommended
