Pattern of a close-fitting fully lined vest. The front features bust darts transferred to the princess seams and pocket lines.

The vest has welt pockets with sewn-in ends. The back features a center seam, princess seams, waist and shoulder darts. The collar is a one-piece stand-up collar. The garment has a center front fabric-covered button and buttonhole fastening. The length of the vest is above hip level.

To sew this model, it is recommended to choose moderately dense materials, non-stretchable or low-stretch. According to the fiber composition, the material can contain natural (wool, cotton, silk), artificial (viscose), mixed (wool + polyester, cotton + polyester, cotton + elastane, etc.) and synthetic fibers (polyester, polyester + elastane). Denim (jeans), corduroy, suit jersey, suit wool, gabardine, thick cotton, suit linen, eco-leather, suit fabrics are well suited.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Lightweight knit or woven interfacing ~ 1 m, 140 cm wide
  • Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement, 1.5 cm wide ~ 2.5 m (when sewing from thin materials or stretchable materials)
  • Buttons with a diameter of 20 – 22 mm 5 pcs. (+ 2-3 spare pieces)
  • Thread to match the fabric – 5 spools (4 for overlocker, 1 for sewing machine)
  • Denim needles for sewing machine and overlocker No. 90 – 100
  • Needles No. 60 – 70 (preferably Microtex) for sewing lining
