This moderately voluminous jacket features a straight cut. The fronts feature princess seams with chest darts and welt pockets. The back features princess seams with shoulder darts. The sleeves are two-seam, semi-raglan. The sleeve hem is shaped and finished with a cuff. The collar is a one-piece stand-up that can also be worn turned-down. The fastening is central with buttons. The jacket is fully lined. The length of the jacket is slightly below the hip line. The jacket is complemented by a detachable belt, which is secured with belt loops topstitched to the side seams.

Additionally, the patterns show the outline of a shaped bottom with the length of the garment decreasing at the sides.

In the photo, the jacket is styled with Picasso trousers, Twist jeans, and Ginger sweater.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS:

For sewing this model, it is recommended to choose moderately dense, soft, non-stretchable or low-stretch materials. The fiber composition of the material can be natural (wool, cashmere, cotton) or mixed. Good choices include eco-suede, eco-leather, coat fabrics, loden, quilted insulation, short-pile eco-fur, thin sheepskin, corduroy, and denim. Materials containing viscose are recommended for lining.

The jacket in the photo by Elenapatternstudio is made of eco-suede, composition: 97% polyester, 3% elastane; fabric weight 330 g/m2. Lining – 100% viscose, weight 80 g/m2.

  • Interfacing with a fabric weight of 35-40 g/m2 ~ 1.0 -1.2 m with a width of 140 cm. I used low-temperature interfacing for eco-leather with a fabric weight of 38 g/m2.
  • Interfacing with a fabric weight of 50-60 g/m2 for strengthening the belt – a strip 11 cm wide and 2 * waistline + 10 cm long (along the grain line)
  • Stitched straight-grain fusible stay tape, 10 mm wide – 3 m
  • Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement, 10 mm wide – 5 m
  • Composite shoulder pads (raglan shoulder pads) 10-12 mm thick – 1 pair (optional)
  • Buttons with a diameter of 20 – 22 mm 2 – 3 pcs.
  • Transparent button, diameter 10-12 mm, 2-3 pcs.
  • Threads to match the main fabric and the lining for the sewing machine
  • Universal needles (or for leather and suede) for sewing machine No. 90-100
  • Needles № 70 – 80 (preferably Microtex) for lining
