The instructions also include a layout for cutting a sweater with straight side seams. The sleeves are elongated, raglan-style, with no top seam. The sweater features a tall, double-fold collar that can be worn unfolded or folded down.
The instructions describe two methods for finishing the lower edges: by binding off the stitches with knitting needles or by stitching a hem on a sewing machine.
